From the Zona Colonial it's 159 km by road, about 2 h 42 min of driving.
The lagoon is in Cabrera, María Trinidad Sánchez province, on the north coast, about 25 km from Nagua and near Playa Diamante.
Laguna Dudú is a cenote: it formed when a cave collapsed. That's why it's shaped like a funnel and the water is turquoise.
Its lagoons are connected by underwater tunnels. The main tunnel is about 80 meters long, and the German diver Horst Julius explored it in the nineties.
Today people go cave diving here, only with certification and with staff from the on-site dive school.
If you don't dive, the plan is to swim and jump from the zip line.
The plan is to swim and drop into the water from the zip line, 10 meters up, or from the ropes.
Kids under 8 can't use the zip line. For them there's the Pozo de los Caballos, a shallow pool.
Among the caves here is the Cueva Taína, about 30 meters long, with stalactites and pre-Columbian rock art on the walls.
According to tradition, the lagoon is named after a Taíno cacique called Dudú.
It's a private protected area and it's open every day.
