The starting point is a ranch with parking, near the town of Imbert.2

From there you hike up through the forest, crossing bridges. Then you come down the river: you jump into the pools, slide down rock chutes and swim.6, 5

The descent is run by the river guides' association, people from the community, and a guide is required.4, 5, 2

Most people stop after the first 7

There's a short circuit of 7 falls and the full route of 27. Most tours do only the first 7. The full route calls for good physical fitness.4, 5, 2, 7

One operator sets a minimum age of 8 for the first 7 falls and 12 for all 27.7
